According to the New Testament, Paul was a successful, Christian missionary and one of the first theologians of Christianity. He is worshipped as a saint in the Orthodox, Catholic, Armenian, Coptic and Anglican churches, while the Protestant Church celebrates him with memorials. At first, Paul took part in the persecution of Christians; however, after his conversion he proclaimed the divinity of Jesus Christ and dedicated his life to spreading the Christian message. He travelled the eastern Mediterranean and founded Christian communities. Through his letters, which form a substantial part of the later New Testament, he remained in touch with them. Visit the stations of his mission through Greece on an eight day tour from the north of the country to the south. Your route will take you from Philippi at Kavala via Thessaloniki, Veria, Meteora and Delphi to the Peloponnese and to Athens.
